Chitin is a universal biopolymer that found in microbes, plants, fungi, the exoskeleton of insects, various species algae, and bottom-feeding crustaceans. This (1–4)-linked N-acetyl-ß-D-glucosamine polysaccharide can be readily processed with simple chemical procedures without putting at risk. has garnered interest as an alternative substance used medical, environmental, agricultural sectors. Indeed, chitin’s unique nature biocompatibility, being environmentally safe, having innate water-solubility allows polymer to wide range applications. In this review, we discuss possible applications chitin sectors through extensive search latest literature.
